Will it hold air the whole flight?

Yes, once the inflate cap is pressed firmly back on. That seal is what keeps it full. If a cushion ever won’t hold air, we’ll send a replacement and you keep the old one.

Will it fit my seat?

It’s 15.7 × 15.7 in (40 × 40 cm). Standard economy seats are about 17 in wide, so it fits with a little room to spare, and it fits car seats and most chairs.

Is it hard to inflate?

No blowing and no extra pump. Pull the inflate cap fully off, press the built-in pump cell for about a minute, then press the cap back on. That first step is the one people miss.

Can I use it on a plane?

Yes. It’s a personal comfort item, like a neck pillow. Set it up once you’re seated and deflate it before landing.

What hours in a hard seat feel like

The ache doesn't start at once. It builds, hour by hour.

Typical experiences people describe on long trips; everyone's different.

On a thin, hard seatYour weight lands on three small spots: two sit bones and your tailbone. Nothing spreads it out, so those spots take the load for hours.
Illustration: the same seated figure on the AirSeat with pressure spread evenly
On the AirSeatThe cells under those spots pass air to their neighbours, so the load spreads across the whole cushion instead of three points.

Where the pressure goes

From two hot spots to an even spread

On a hard seat, pressure piles up under your sit bones. Air cells give way where you press hardest and push back where you don't, so the load evens out.

The trip you saved for

Your trip shouldn't start with a recovery day.

Hours on a thin, hard seat leave you numb, stiff and squirming by hour two. Land feeling like yourself, ready for the hugs at arrivals and the first day you planned.

Why it's worse than it used to be

It's not you. The seat changed.

Economy seats lost inches and padding so airlines could fit more rows and burn less fuel.

Seats shrank

Average legroom (seat pitch) fell from about 35 to 31 inches, and many seats went from 18.5 to 17 inches wide.

Padding got thinner

"Slimline" seats use thinner cushions over a hard frame, so your weight lands on two small points: your sit bones and tailbone.

Foam goes flat

Foam pads and folded blankets help at first, then press flat under you. By hour two you're back on the frame.

How the AirSeat fixes it

The FlowCell Air Grid

Foam is like a pillow that's been slept flat. Air cells are more like a crowd stepping aside: press one spot and the air moves to the cells around it.

  • 1

49 cells, one shared pocket of air

Where you press, air flows to the cells around it, so no single spot takes all your weight.

  • 2

    Keeps spreading as you shift

Air doesn't take a "set" the way foam does. It feels the same at hour ten as at minute one, as long as the valve is sealed.

  • 3

Your firmness, set while you sit

A few pumps for more support, a press of the red valve to soften. Most people like it about two-thirds full.

How to use it

Pumped, set and seated in about a minute

No blowing into a valve, no separate pump. One step trips people up, so we put it first.

Step 1

Cap off, then pump

Pull the inflate cap fully off, then press the pump cell. With the cap on, the pump only moves air around inside.

Step 2

Watch it fill

Keep pressing until it's about two-thirds full, roughly a minute. Press the cap back on firmly to seal it.

Step 3

Sit, then fine-tune

Too firm? Tap the red release valve. Want more support? A few more pumps. No need to stand up.

Why we sell it

We've been the one squirming in 34B.

You know the moment. The seatbelt sign goes off, the cabin goes quiet, and the seat under you starts to feel like a plank. By hour two you're shifting side to side. By landing you're stiff, and the first day of the trip you planned for months goes to recovering.

We tried what everyone tries: a folded airline blanket, a rolled-up jacket, a foam pad from the drugstore. Foam goes flat in an hour. Cheap inflatables leak. Connected air cells were the one design that kept working, because the air moves under you instead of pushing back.

So before selling a single one, we ordered the cushion and tested it ourselves: how long it takes to inflate, whether it still holds air hours later, whether it fits a narrow economy seat. It passed. That's the AirSeat. Take it on your next trip, and if it isn't for you, you have 60 days to send it back.

Questions

Everything people ask before buying

How is this different from a foam or gel cushion?

Foam and gel press down and stay pressed, so the support fades on a long trip. The AirSeat’s 49 cells share air, so the load keeps spreading as you move, and you choose the firmness.

How long does it take to set up?

About a minute. Cap off, pump with your hand, cap back on, sit, then fine-tune with the red release valve.

How full should it be?

Most people like it about two-thirds full. Fully inflated feels firmer and higher than most people want.

Will it make me sit too high?

The cells are about 1.2 in (3 cm) tall and it sits low. If you’re tall, run it a little softer.

Does it get hot?

The grooves between the cells let air move underneath you, and the surface wipes clean.

Will it slide around?

It has a non-slip base that grips fabric seats. It stays put on office chairs, car seats and plane seats.

Does it have a smell out of the box?

Like most new fabric-covered products, it can have a light smell when it first comes out of the bag. Wipe it down and let it air out for a day before your trip.

Will it help my back, hip or tailbone pain?

The AirSeat is a comfort cushion that spreads pressure across the seat. It isn’t a medical device and we don’t make medical claims. If you have a medical condition, ask your doctor.

How fast is shipping?

Shipping to the US is free. Every order ships with tracking, and we email you the tracking number as soon as it’s on its way. See our shipping policy for delivery times.

What if I don’t like it?

You have 60 days from delivery. Email us at contact@homevale.store and we’ll send you the return steps.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it dry before folding it away.

What’s in the box?

Each cushion comes with a drawstring carry bag. The 2-pack also gets a free neck pillow with each cushion, free shipping protection, and the Long-Haul Comfort Guide ebook by email.
